I have been making music since the late 1970’s with various bands and as a solo artist. I run a record label called Whisk Records. I write and sing songs, play improvised synth music, from small ditties to album concepts. I record and play under many different names depending on the style.
Currently, I’ve just started recording as Steve Mixup again. Sharp Thorns is like the digital version of Steve Mixup and has been for the last seven years. A library music project as Blackmarket Sound. A more traditional rock band sound as Instant Whip. Many improv synth outings primarily as Cycling Envelope. Some acoustic as Howard Foster Esquire.
