13th – 20th May 2026. Visit to Belgrade. Produced an oil painting in collaboration with Marija. Mask photos with Daniel Kovač & children’s art group.
This oil painting was painted wet on wet or ‘alla prima‘. The initial idea came when I saw a lizard in Budapest, later I painted a quick sketch, and we (Marija & Mixup) both used that as a starting point. It developed over an hour or two into a serpent. Marija’s father was the Belgrade painter Igor Vasilev.
